Community Leadership for Affordable Housing academy

For the second year in a row, LA Forward Institute is launching a six-month leadership development fellowship to support San Gabriel Valley community members to become stronger advocates for affordable housing and housing justice.

Members of this unique cohort will come together for in-person learning/site visits one Saturday each month to build knowledge, skills, and networks that will help them ensure that their communities have sufficient affordable housing for current and future generations. The Saturday commitments are approximately 10am-5pm on the following days: April 27, May 11, June 22, July 27, August 24, and September 21.

Between each in-person day, cohort participants will also engage with a syllabus of readings and activities to be completed remotely, individually, or in small groups. Our goal is to expand the number of committed, informed, networked, and skilled community leaders for affordable housing and housing justice across LA County.
